Who is behind the scholarship?
The scholarship is a generous contribution from the Edmond de Rothschild Foundation and The Association for Israeli Soldiers, in collaboration with the Department and Foundation for Discharged Soldiers, and operated by the Social Activities Department through Edmond de Rothschild Partnerships.
Am I eligible to receive the scholarship?
The "Impact Through Education" Scholarship – A subsistence scholarship for discharged male and female combat soldiers from unique social groups, pursuing academic or technological studies.

Please note that only after receiving confirmation from the Department and Foundation for Discharged Soldiers that you have met the threshold conditions,
will you be able to register for social activities.
What are the conditions of the scholarship?
The scholarship is divided into two types, depending on the number of reserve service days you have performed:
Basic Scholarship
Eligibility Requirements:
Scholarship eligibility confirmation from the Department and Foundation for Discharged Soldiers.
What you get:
12,000 ₪, distributed in two installments
First Installment: 6,000 ₪ upon completing 45 hours of social activity.
Second Installment: 6,000 ₪ upon completing an additional 45 hours of social activity with the same organization (a total of 90 hours).
Extra Benefit: 10 hours of enrichment and training sessions, courtesy of the Edmond de Rothschild Partnerships organization.
Increased scholarship for reserve servicemen
Eligibility Requirements:
Scholarship eligibility confirmation from the Department and Foundation for Discharged Soldiers + Completion of at least 60 reserve duty days.
What you get:
18,000 ₪, distributed in three installments
First Installment: 6,000 ₪ upon completing 45 hours of social activity.
Second Installment: 6,000 ₪ upon completing an additional 45 hours of social activity with the same organization (a total of 90 hours).
Third Installment: 6,000 ₪ upon confirmation of completing over 60 reserve duty days (only after completing 90 hours of social activity).
Extra Benefit: 10 hours of enrichment and training sessions, courtesy of the Edmond de Rothschild Partnerships organization.
The money will be paid on the following dates after the hours have been entered into the system and approved by the organization:

Choose an organization from the list of organizations open for social activity. You can apply to more than one organization, but you must complete all of your activity hours in only one organization!

Complete an admission process for the organization.

The organization approves the activity hours in the "Impact Through Education" system.

Subject to meeting all the conditions, the scholarship will be transferred within three months of the hours being approved in the system by the organization you are working with.

The activities can only be carried out in organizations approved by the Edmond de Rothschild Partnerships and listed on the online portal.
Yes, you can apply to multiple organizations, but you must choose one organization where you will complete all your activity hours.
No, you must complete your social activity hours within the organization where you started. Exceptional requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
For current academic year, all activity hours must be completed by August 2025
These are 10 hours of effective and relevant online training and enrichment tailored to today's job market, provided by the Edmond de Rothschild Partnerships organization and TAUGA. Topics include time management, using AI and introduction to artificial intelligence tools, financial management for savings and investments, negotiation and decision-making skills, networking, and more.
Eligibility for the reserve duty scholarship for completing 60 or more reserve days will only be granted upon completing 90 hours of social activity.
Travel reimbursements are not included.
To receive the scholarship, you must ensure the completion of two steps:
- Enter all completed hours into the "Impact Through Education" online system.
- Obtain approval for all hours from the organization where the activities were performed.
Once the hours are approved and recorded, the payment will be made on the following dates:
- March 2025
- May 2025
- July 2025
- September 2025

Registration starts on December 1, 2024, and ends on March 31, 2025.

No, all hours must be completed within a single organization to which you were accepted.
Please ensure you have completed the necessary steps on your part:

- Received approval for these hours from your organization.
If these steps are complete, remember that there are fixed dates for receiving the scholarship payments.
